Sr. Application Programmer - PHP (Drupal)

WS is seeking for a Sr. Drupal Developer who has hands-on experience in building large-scale web sites and applications and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams. In this role will have the ability to develop high-quality code, love solving complex problems, provide a voice in product design and direction and must possess good communication skills. In short, the successful candidate understands what impact technology can have in developing successful businesses online. The role also demands exposure to best market practices, cultures innovation. Being a senior, he is expected to carry a lead by example attitude with an eye for detail. Ability to reciprocate business communications, specifically around web technologies, social media outlets and industry events and conferences is a huge plus.

Prior Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in Drupal

Responsibilities

• The programmer would be responsible for Project Requirement Studies,System Analysis & Design Coding and implementing the system as per the software architecture along with System & User Documentation
• Must have basic and advanced knowledge for developing web based applications and sites using PHP & My SQL in Drupal
• Proficiency of development in Linux environment using SVN
• Strong knowledge in Drupal Hooks and API. Must have experience of developing custom module (Drupal 8). Experience in PHP frameworks (Symfony/CakePHP/Zend).
• Experience desired in other technologies like Ajax, JQuery
• Must have strong problem solving skill with excellent written & oral communication
• Adapting & quick learning of skill sets required for various upgrades to the base technologies & exploring those for meeting business requirements

• Strong knowledge of Drupal core architecture and customization methods
• Experience in HTML, CSS, XHTML, XML/XSLT DTHML, JavaScript, Linux/Apache, MySQL, PHP
• Ability to modify existing modules or develop new modules
• Expertise in developing and deploying Web components for Drupal.
• Expertise in developing custom module/themes for Drupal
